Luke Gallagher
Associate Director
BA (Hons) Architecture, MArch, PGCert, ARB
After graduating with a Masters in Architecture, Luke joined pad design in May 2015, assisting on a variety of housing projects up to planning. A highly motivated, articulate and enthusiastic individual Luke brings creative technical and design skills gained from academic study and extensive work experience.
Luke is particularly interested in socially sustainable architecture, citing work by Aldo Rossi and Jan Gehl as influential precedents. Luke is also passionate about the regeneration of both historic buildings and public space, by using modern theoretical ideologies and design solutions to explore the response to aesthetic and ergonomic needs, and is a strong advocate for form following function.
Prior to working at pad, Luke worked for the Architects Design Group for 2 years engaging in many bespoke private commissions and large high value mixed-use urban regeneration schemes for Plymouth City centre and surrounding areas.
